This was a complicated experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the book - in fact, I was enjoying the whole thing just fine and it had lots of funny moments until that last section of the book.

Don’t get me wrong, it was really cute at times. But the things that happen towards the end made me question whether or not I really want these characters to be together. The dynamics got weird, miscommunication was making constant appearances. Also can we stop making someone’s accent the only observable thing? it feels weird 😩

It wasn’t inherently bad but it could’ve delivered more. I WILL give this duo more chances of course, I’ve heard better things about some of their other books so I’m excited about that. ☁️
