There are a few issues I had with this book, but otherwise I really enjoyed it. I liked getting some more back story for the characters and I quite liked the plot.
I did not enjoy the first time we see Isolde shift. It felt like I was reading a wattpad fanfic of some kind. Seeing the shift during battle was a lot more palatable but not overly enjoyable for me

I also didn't like the smut in this books anywhere near as much as the first. It was repetitive and boring. I quickly got sick of seeing it again and again after every conflict when I just wanted to continue on with the plot.
