*more like 3.5* I had a different expectation going into this so that probably factors into my review, but I had the vibe that this would be more of a retelling than like a prequel/backstory. It was a quick read and the pacing didn't drag so it was easy to keep up with. There's not much more for me to really say about it than that. It was what it was. I didn't hate it, I didn't love it, but I probably won't reread it.
