The Minority Report and Other Classic Stories by Philip K. Dick

4.0

It has taken me years to get through this book, but it’s not the author’s fault. Sci-fi can be very hit or miss for me and this is a full collection of unique sci-fi stories.

I first read Minority Report in college and loved it. Then I read the majority of this collection over the last few years to pull stories out to teach sci-fi to students ages 10-19 (reflections, reading assignments, origins, etc).
The stories I marked best for these are the following:
Service Call, The Mold of Yancy, Recall Mechanism, War Game, The Days of Perky Pat

All in all, it’s a great collection of dystopian fantasy horror/sci-fi relying heavily on some scientific knowledge. It’s been awhile since I started this on and off again so I don’t have specific ratings for each story, I’m sorry
