Prologue and up to Chapter 3
Starting this book its giving me major Marilyn Monroe vibes. I am already falling in love with the characters, and at first I was like wait this is not the perspective of Evelyn Hugo but I think and hoping it will gradually go towards her perspective.

I keep picturing Evelyn Hugo like Cruella DeVille somehow. Also I am seeing a lot of what indoors Hollywood used to do back in the day. Not everything in Hollywood's was sunshine and daises, there was a deeper dark side to it that I am seeing in this book that I am kind of glad that the author looked in depth in this.

Up to 100 Pages Thoughts:
I am really invested in Evelyn Hugo life and story it is so entertaining and interesting, yet quite shocking at how manipulative she can be to get whatever she wants, or in other words quite cunning. I keep thinking that Celia in one way or another she would end up plotting something against Evelyn, even if she is her best friend.

Chapter 19:|| Okey I regret saying what I half said before.||

Up to 200 Pages Thoughts

|| I am shocked that Don ended up cheated on her, but in that point it kind of gave her the diction to leave him. Alto she should have left his ass along time ago. I also love how Evelyn is exploring what her sexuality is and all so love how she has an open mind. Even at that time a lot of people where quite homophobic in those years.||

|| You did not just kiss the tv screen and ended up chipping a tooth XD ||

Page 171: || This is the cutest thing I had read so far in this story. Its really adorable how Evelyn protect her lover. Also the way she said things do really do impact in everyday life and sociality, that it still occurs to this day and age which is shocking. ||

|| I apologize with the way I am currently reading in huge chunks of this book. I am trying my best to input my thoughts here and there, when I read a certain page and stop but often times I keep reading and forgetting where I am until I start to think and recall everything I had so far read. ||
|| Nooooo whyyy, alto it was already hinted preciously by the present Evelyn that something had happened between them. Yet I am so emersed in the book itself that I forgot in a moment that this was set in the past of Evelyn. ||

Up to 300 Pages + Final Thoughts

The death of Harry was a real shocking one and one that I did not really aspect to see in this book. Poor Evelyn for being heartbroken that her best friend has died. Yet, going back awhile when Evelyn was asked who is your greatest love or who did you love most. I think equally she both loved Celia and Harry as equally. For they were there half way from the start, and from their prospective knew her well, but I still had a feeling she still hid some aspects of herself from them, and never showed her truest self to them.

No not her daughter! noooo!

Chapter 65: Umm What?

The scene where she is taking her last photo near the patio and then you turn to look back at the cover of the book itself and connect the dots…

Jesus. H.Christ This novel began so wonderfully and was so delightful, but at the conclusion, all I can see is a jack hammer smashing its way through my heart and making me cry. Past me had also stated that she wasn't sure if she had read anything from Taylor Jenkins Reid. She had lied. She finished Malibu Rising and added Daisy Jones & The Six to her TBR list.
End thought :Ending Thought: The book concluded with such satisfaction that I am very satisfied with the ending and how everything wove together in the end.
Star Rating a pure 5.5
