Who am I kidding, apart from a slightly slow start, I was hooked. This book held so many shocking revelations and rereading this made me even more excited to finally read Kingdom of Ash!

I was honestly not loving this until the last 100 pages. I can't speak for the disabled community, but the way Sarah J. Maas handled Chaol's disability was honestly admirable and I'm so, so, so glad she didn't take it down the path that I expected. (Here is a review from Emily who is someone with a disability with some similarities to Chaol's and her thoughts on the representation - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2114999039?book_show_action=false&from_review_page=1)

I do think this book could have been a tad shorter, and omg Nesryn's chapters were so boring at times, but I was almost in tears towards the end because of my attachments to these characters and I just want them all to be happy forever plz thx. <3
