With it being the run up to Christmas my brain doesn't have the bandwidth to deal with more complex stories right now but the neurospicy in me needs the distraction of something whilst I prep and wrap and do all the things ready for Christmas day. This series being available in the Audible Plus catalogue right now gives me what I need it to, something to have on in the background whilst I accomplish tasks. Is this the best story ever written? No. Are the characters deep and their connections complex and meaningful? Also no. But is it entertaining enough to do what I need it to in this moment? Yep. 

I wasn't the biggest fan of the FMC Madison in this, she came across whiney and for a social worker she doesn't seem to understand people very well. Alex the MMC wasn't perfect either but overall i liked his character more, the plot wasn't hard to follow, the spice was good and the narrator good to listen to. Onto book 3. 🌶🌶
