Beneath Your Beautiful by Tamsyn Bester

4.0

This was about Huntley Morgan and Grayson Carter!

Huntley has moved across the country to move on as best she can, starting at Whitley University in a small remote town near her aunt and uncle. I found her character really sweet and genuine given her situation.

Grayson Carter has pain of his own, but he manages to cover it up being the star of the university's football team at Whitley and he gets around.

“I want to fix her. Because deep down I know she's going to fix me.”

Grayson sees Huntley and for the first time in a while, after having his heart broken, he feels something more. But he doesn't want to rush, and rather he ends up trying to stay away from her.

For Huntley, she knows she wants Grayson, but giving his reputation she's unsure what that really means for them.

“We are two broken people, whose pieces magically fit together to make something beautiful and new.”

This was the second book that I've read where we skip the period after their first date and we find the characters a month or so into the relationship. This again sorta disappointed me, but I still enjoyed this book a lot!
It really picked up as in their relationship, they come to trust each other and face their demons from their pasts.

There were a lot of sweet moments where we see Grayson's protectiveness for Huntley. I really enjoyed the characters and it was just a nice, sweet read.
