I listened to this in tandem with Powerless and I really enjoyed how they lined up. I feel this on its own after Powerless would have been like picking a painful scab. Especially because this insight into Adena’s life makes everything so much more tragic. Makoto and Adena both deserved so much better than what they got, and I’m really hoping for more Makoto in the series to see if his life gets any better :(
