One of my favourite books I've read this year by one of my favourite historical fiction authors. It was a bit on the long side but every second was perfect — I wouldn't cut anything out. The characters, the romance, the stress, and the secrets are soo good, you're intrigued on every page. Watching the plot come together and unfold is just amazing. Ugh love it
