I loved this book. It was a slow burn romance with such a unique love interest that was both fun and flirtatious but also serious and mysterious, honestly what more could you ask for. It was just a breath of fresh air in the world of mortally grey characters that are all dark haired, eyes and ambiguously coloured.
The story plot was ok but the character growth that you can get with Laynah is slow but strong by the end. She has values that she holds dear and those still stay true throughout the book. I also just love the scenes with Jester in them. He always brings a smile to my face and makes me wish we had more MMCs like him as it was just fun to have him in a scene.
I cannot wait to read the second book.
