This was my third novel tgat deals with the violence that targeted Tamils and it was heartbreaking. Chandran did not shy away from detailing the varied losses and atrocities that were carried out and this affected me deeply. If you are not afraid to read about traumatic events, this is a good novel that will educate readers about another dark era in human history.
