Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body by Roxane Gay

Extremely raw and reflective. A super intimate look at the lifelong aftereffects of trauma. An emotional reminder to be empathetic to people, to remember that everyone is fighting invisible demons, and to be a bit kinder to yourself and others. I really appreciated Roxane Gay's intimate anecdotes about living under constant scrutiny, shame, and judgment under fatphobia.
I didn't quite like the way it was written like a collection of short blog entries, it got a bit repetitive at times, but it is 100% saved by Roxane Gay's beautiful emotive writing.
