The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna
4.0
I love when I encounter a book with such a unique mix of elements that it takes me by surprise. I've encountered plenty of witchy reads with breathtaking prose and moody aesthetic (both of which I love), but The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches was something altogether different. Completely endearing and charming, it reminded me of a witchy version of The House in the Cerulean Sea. And, you guys...it charmed my socks off. I fell hard for this cast of characters, especially the children and Ian, and I found myself wanting to slip into this world and enjoy a cup of tea with them. This was a feel-good read that I didn't want to end.
