This book wasn't on my tbr list, nor was I ever intending to read it. But I am so glad I did - it gave me various perspectives on life and the difficulties we face along the way. Truly educational and inspirational. It's easy to read and leaves room for readers' interpretations.

My younger self would have abandoned this book and instead picked up a children's classic, but my older self really appreciates having read it. I think that reading The Alchemist just before getting into my 20s was one of the best decisions I've made.
