Evidence of the Affair by Taylor Jenkins Reid

5.0

TW: infertility. This short story was so gripping from the very beginning and I lived for the drama and what blossoms through the hardship of the relationships. This book follows Carrie who discovers her husband, Ken, is having an affair and decides to reveal all to the woman's husband in a series of letters. The story develops through letters between Carrie and David, the other woman's husband, as well as letters between Ken and his mistress, Janet. It is so captivating as it switches between the different pov's and I loved it so much. And the story and character development is everything! (Don't worry I won't drop spoilers). TJR discusses so many emotions and moments of relationship breakdowns and life in general as well as some very poignant parts about infertility from Carrie's pov and how she feels a disappointment of a woman and a wife. This was written so well and really hit home personally. And the ending is such a great twist! Overall, this was such a good short story and I highly recommend it! Also, TJR does a cheeky Daisy Jones name drop in this too
