Valerie: Or, the Faculty of Dreams by Sara Stridsberg

4.0

Valerie Solanas be like, "I'm going to become the Joker"

Actually, Stridsberg's novel/play reimagining of Solanas' life takes a look at the massive, tragic scope and rends it, but knows it can't make full sense of the scope of the many mysteries of her existence. I think it captures the emotional weight and incongruities and the posthumous influence of Solanas well, even if the structure got a bit repetitive over the 350 pages.
