Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones

I don't know, man, I can't really get on board with characters who want to get married after their second conversation because they're now super duper in love. You are not. You just met. What the actual fuck. Just because there's a prophecy that says Flower-in-the-Night (*eye twitch*) will marry the first man she sees..... there's literally no time limit on that, it does not have to be immediate. And then for her very first thing when they see each other a third time to be: why haven't you physically accosted me yet?! How else will I know you care?! When Abdullah has doggedly pursued her captors, come up with a convoluted plan to save her, and has done nothing but fawningly compliment her almost constantly? Gee, you're right, how WOULD you know? I just..... this was so not at all good, y'know? I wanted to give it credit for managing to work all the Howl characters back in semi-naturally but, even with that, I still hated this.
