The Stand by Stephen King
5.0
reread once again. Still enjoyed it but man oh man.... so glad I read it the first time in the early 90s. I don't know how I would have felt if I read it the first time in 2019. --- it's like watching one of your favourite shows from the 70s and realizing just how sexist it was and cheesy -- I love the book still and as always can't put it down but it is for sure dated. So not politically correct haha! In all the times I have reread this book (and there have been many) I never ever noticed that before until this time.
This is my second fav novel ever. Steven King's writing to me is hit or miss for me. But this one is a major HIT. I love it. The Characters are colourful and interesting and I can really feel how King got into these characters. I can just imagine he felt lost as those characters took over. Love it! And unlike most King books I actually liked the ending! Sort of haha!
