Usually sequels aren't as good as the first book but in this case the sequel was so much better. To the point I was confused by my rating of the first book.

This one is a lot more action packed and apart from the repeat world. there are some seriously different places. Things are a little more gritty and the ending...wow the ending. I need the next one now please. This book was intriguing and angsty and difficult to put down.

There were odd bits and pieces like the many flashbacks in the beginning that were kinda eh. But once it actually got into the story, it was very enjoyable. Not as many pretty quotes in this one either but overall it was just better.
