I finally have time to write a short review, because I feel it's needed with this book.

Full disclaimer: as a fantasy, this is not a 5star book by ANY means. It's full of tropes and stereotypes, the worldbuilding felt incomplete and some things were resolved way too quickly.

but this ticked so many of my boxes and as a romance I had such a blast reading it

✔︎ rivals to lovers
✔︎ forced proximity
✔︎ prophecy / fate
✔︎ a wonderful cast of characters
✔︎ found family

I wonder if this could have benefited from being a series instead of just a standalone...
