Heart of the Sun Warrior by Sue Lynn Tan
5.0
I'm gonna go weep endlessly now.
Daughter of the Moon Goddess is easy the best book of all time for me. For that reason, I was so excited to review the sequel to it. The sequel that broke my heart. From the beginning the quick sequence of action and pace, with constant travel from scenery to scenery, the author did not forget to bring to the reader remainders of how this complex world works and engage the reader with her beautiful writing. The romance there is so subtle and full of dignity, I couldn't get over it long after I put it down. The protagonist can be conflicted, unlikable at times, but Tan makes us love her at the same time and trust that even the consequences can be a part of the journey.
