The Gentleman's Book of Vices by Jess Everlee

4.0

I really liked this historical MM romance! I'm a bit confused by some of the criticism from other readers. I loved the found family characters - the friends at the molly house, the publisher, and Charlie's prospective bride. I actually thought Charlie's choices were mature and thoughtful given the circumstances (don't want to give anything away). I really appreciated that Alma's situation was taken seriously. Victorian society kept A LOT of people down - women as well as LGBTQ people - and it's important that that was addressed in this book. I look forward to reading more of Jess Everlee!
