I listened to Run, Rose, Run via audiobook, which was a full cast narration with Dolly Parton, and I must say that I really enjoyed listening to Dolly narrate the Ruthanna character. However my overall enjoyment of this book was poor and this was the only saving grace. I haven't actually read a James Patterson book before, but this wasn't a good introduction to his writing.
It was a very weak plot, I personally wouldn't consider this a thriller or a mystery at all. I disliked the characters and couldn't find any connection with them. I don't think that AnnieLee's character developed at all throughout the book which is a shame as she had potential for redemption.
I didn't gain much from this book unfortunately so I'm not sure I would read any more books by James Patterson. If you are interested in this book, I would recommend listing to the audiobook.
