"There was only the clear confidence that I'd found the man I wanted to annoy for the rest of my days."
Edward & Izzy are two cosplayers that met three years ago and that initial meeting didn't leave either of them with a lasting great impressions of the other, although the "hate" banging in the bar bathroom wasn't the worst thing as far as they were concerned. So whenever they have been at the same conventions, they have somehow found themselves engaging in physical fun in locked bathrooms whilst maintaining their internal monologues of hatred and disdain... which slowly morphs into something else as the story progresses.
I enjoyed this instalment of the Roll For Love series just as much as I did book one. I really liked Edwards character in that book and I enjoyed him just as much in his own story, Izzy aka Edwards "nemesis" was great too, I liked that he stood up for himself and gave as good as he got with the banter and dynamic between him & Edward. The snark and banter between these two is very typically British in the way it is presented, as a Brit myself I see these snarky/bantering types of interactions between close friends and family members all the time, it genuinely is a form of affection for majority of us, it just took these two a while to cotton on to the fact that they didn't infact hate or dislike each other and it was just a bad first impression due to extenuating circumstances it took a while gor them to reveal to each other.
Again, this was a cute, low angst, sweet, spicy & nerdy filled read that I found entertaining with endearing characters. I do wish there had been some more detail/resolution surrounding Edwards family and the drama we got a glimpse of, I would have loved to have seen some comeuppance or confrontation in some way but at times I crave drama and that's on me. π€·ββοΈπ If you're looking for a quick MM romance with fun nerdy elements and good spice, this will deliver it. πΆπΆ.5
