The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Annie Barrows, Mary Ann Shaffer
5.0
I absolutely adored this book! I’ve heard Anne Bogel mention this on What Should I Read Next a ton and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. It was my favorite book of the year so far!
This book is a compilation of letters and the writer does an excellent job of capturing the characters’ personalities. I immediately fell in love with the main character, Juliet, and wanted to be her best friend.
The book takes place right after WW2 and covers a couple post-war topics that you never think about because of how valiant the Greatest Generation is.
I couldn’t recommend this book enough!
