We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

This is more an essay than a book... it took me about 30 minutes to read, and that included highlighting every second line and taking copious notes because, wow!
I’ve been a feminist since before I knew what feminism even was. Over the last couple of years I’ve made a concerted effort to educate myself by reading more feminist literature and this book/essay is probably the best I’ve read. Simple, direct, and full of straight up facts interspersed with relevant anecdotes from the author’s life.
Read it, because even if you don’t understand feminism and you subscribe to the nasty stereotypes about feminists being man-hating, bra-burning lesbians, the fact is, we really should all be feminists.
