Legendary by Stephanie Garber
5.0
Amazing sequel to Caraval. It leaves you questioning if Stephanie Garber is actually the one playing a game with us (the readers). The point of view of Tella gives us an insight to her thoughts and feelings, so different and more complex than Scarlett's. The districts remind me of the separated country of Panem in Hunger Games, each having a different purpose and economy.
Caraval is so magical and that twist with Dante being Legend. . . I can't even begin to describe that. It almost seemed so plain that he was Legend, but also not. It broke my heart at the end when he walked away from Tella. And I'm almost positive that everyone is wondering, especially Tella: Was Dante really in love with her, or was it all just an act? And another: Does Jacks love her because of the whole "one true love"-thing. I am so excited to see how Stephanie Garber wraps this series up in "Finale".
