White Tiger by Kylie Chan

I fell in love with this series, this author, when a very good friend of mine recommended them to me. He told me, “Jeanette, I’ve only ever read two books series in my entire life. This is one of them, and it’s amazing.” This is coming from someone who rarely reads. Intrigued, I picked up “White Tiger” and fell in love.

I was never one for more adult-like fiction. I was never one for martial arts stories. I was never one for Chinese mythology and history (I mean, my speciality is Europe for goodness sakes). However, from the moment I picked up “White Tiger” all those years ago, I fell in love with the world, these people, this mythology, this series. . And one of my favourite things about it, is that it’s written by an Aussie author - and I’m all about supporting home grown authors.

I’ve picked up this series now, as “Black Jade” has been published for a while now, and the third and last volume of this series is still waiting to be read, even though I got “Dark Serpent” five years ago. I figured it was about time to pay Emma, Simone, John, and Leo another visit, and to once and for all find out the answer to the question that antagonised me throughout the first two volumes:

What in the Hell is Emma?!???! (Followed closely by, how is this gonna end?!!??!)
