Honestly I felt like this book needed an actual plot to justify it being more than 20 pages. I couldn’t tell you what really happened in the middle. It’s missing the magic of the Frog Princess, especially since Audun falls in love with Millie at first sight. Eadric and Emma got to know each other and while he was definitely interested in her, he got to know her by the end of the book. We don’t even meet Audun until the last third of the book and he basically knows nothing about Millie. Maybe this is resolved through the other books. I think the first 2/3 could have been shortened significantly and maybe the last third should’ve been given more time to breathe/develop.
