 this is really good for breaking out of a reading slump but reads like fanfiction. I think that she did complicated foreshadowing and plots so well in her first series and tried to go further in her next two but couldn’t keep up with the nuance needed so it feels more heavy handed and like things have just been thrown in to tie things up nicely. I regret my comment about there being less sex scenes, apparently she was waiting for everyone to almost die for ultimate effect. I hate it here. Thankfully the ending is so far the best in regards to women being actual people but the bar is on the floor.
