Ascension by Nicholas Binge
Did not finish book. Stopped at 70%.
This was one I was really looking forward to but didn't work for me. I was expecting a thrilling sci-fi horror and this is not that.
I loved the forward, but from then onward it's written in a journal format with long-winded letters from first person POV. The narrator goes back and forth between his past and the present. His past is boring and the present moves slowly. I got to the point where I was dreading picking up where I left off. I took a look at spoilers and decided it wasn't worth finishing.
On a positive note, I thought the narrator of the audiobook did a great job!
