Libertie by Kaitlyn Greenidge
4.0
I had a good time with this one. Mostly because of its structure. I decided to divide it into 3 parts, 100 pages each. And these 3 parts were also the three stages of Libertie's life: the childhood, the school, the marriage. The main reason why I fall in love with this book and the main character is how feminine and logical she was. She has a very particular view of the world, so much how her mother she feels drawn and estranged to. Additionally, she's also the portrait of the woman with strong cultural background but still looking for her place in this world. Not fully, but I can resonate with that. I'm glad this book came to me in the time it did. I needed some sense, some rational look into the woman's adulthood, and with no doubt I found it here.
