4.5 stars, rounded down because there were some really dense parts. But all in all what an astonishingly ambitious book. Quintessential science fiction with an emphasis on science. For a story that spans 200+ years, it didn’t drag and was engaging through all its twists and turns.

Unlike The Three Body Problem, which sets itself up very clearly for a sequel, this felt like a true end to the story. I’m really curious to see where the 3rd book goes.
