I enjoyed watching Lyric come out of her shell and move past her insecurities with her bandmates and I loved the callbacks to the previous books like when Lyric was reading the bond mark issue in Designate and when Javi revealed that he is friends with Green. It was such a fun little thing that made me a little giddy for some reason. 

I will say when Desi was introduced as the drummer at first I was excited at the prospect of a bi-FMC as so far all the bi characters in this series have been men. I was a little disappointed that she wasn't going to be one of Lyric's partners but I am happy she was still a part of the LGBT community and seeing her relationship with Amber (however brief the moments) was so cute.
