Wow! Heartbreaking & eye opening. This is the first memoir I’ve read/listened to where someone has really been open about the struggles with addiction; this one especially hits hard as he has now passed because of his addiction. I personally don’t know many people who have struggled with addiction so I really felt like I was naive to the hardships and what it’s like. Perry gives a very real experience and perspective to what addiction is like, he isn’t asking for your sympathy, but showing awareness of what it’s like, how someone addiction feels. Money and fame don’t give you everything or the perfect life and this is a true example of that unfortunately.

Definitely recommend listening to this as it is read in his voice.
