Rhea Brooks is a badass chicka that life never treated well. And when I say never, I truly mean it. She lives life the way she wants it not and doesn't give a rats ass what happens to everyone else. She's an amazing character.
Alaric Banks. Alaric. Not to be confused with another Alaric that I read in another age gap book not too long ago. At first, I didn't like the guy at all. I warmed up though. He's as obsessive as can be, a sociopath as he doesn't give a shit what happens to anybody else as long as he gets what he wants and his obsession is safe. He's ready to do anything and everything. And he does it.
This is a dark romance, age-gap, stalker, touch her and die type of book and I had some issues at first with Alaric but, reading more and getting to know the characters better, I was fine. It is not my first try in dark romance and, to be honest, it could have been darker and it could have been less. I was more than okay with this. It was also cheesy towards the end but hey, both characters got what they wanted so that's cool.
I would definitely recommend if you love everything like this and I would say read ALL the TWs at the beginning because there is a lot.
I will read this again.
