I love the way Jess Lourey writes a book, I can’t fault her for her writing because it is at times flawless. However the plot of this book felt very underbaked and lacklustre.

The plot concluded underwhelming explained and brushed under the rug. There’s nothing wrong with a character driven book, I love a little not a lot of plot just vibes thriller at the best of times! But with some extra pages and a more solid understanding of their own message I could see this being an excellent book!

I would absolutely recommend checking out another Jess Lourey title, The Quarry Girls, which is fantastic!
