The Spirit Engineer by A.J. West

This was one of those books that I needed to take some time to think about before I figured out a review.
However, I do believe that after a couple of days, I did love this book.
It had mystery and intrigue and horror aspects of it, and I got through the book in one sitting. Not one day, one sitting. I couldn't get enough of it.
While it did start off a bit slow, I soon realized it wasn't meant to be an action-packed book. it very much felt like it hit me psychologically. I went with him on this journey of a non-believer to absolute devout follower of these seances. Watching his comeuppance and his eventual downfall held me in such a tight chokehold and took me through every emotion.
I was absolutely hooked beginning to end.
