Y'all...this book. Oh my god, I love it. Seriously, it's so good. First, the way it's written? As if it were a letter (or series of letters) from Constanta to the unnamed lord that turned her into a vampire? It works!! So well!!! And the writing itself is beautiful and poetic and dark, laced with sadness even though you can feel the hatred seething underneath it all, and my goodness, this was. Amazing.
And the characters! I absolutely love Constanta and the two others who the lord changes, Magdalena and Alexi. They deserve all the good and happy things in the world, and I hope they get them. The ending was so good for them, and I'm so so glad it ended the way that it did.
There will be a full review on my blog later this week!
