A review by lefthandedbibliophile
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett

5.0

Not. A. Single. Dull. Moment

I really hate myself for not liking this book much the first time I read it (must have been stoned or something).
This Book!!! honest to god (no pun intended) this book was a riot. Loved the dialogues between Crowley and Aziraphale. I simply loved those two. Period.
Loved the writing, there are actually parts where one can clearly see the typical satrical tone of Pratchett's writing and in other parts the more grim effects of Gaiman.

But! don't be fooled with the irreverent and tongue in cheek tone of the prose, there's a more complicated underlying theme of good vs evil- what/who is good and whom do we call evil. Not divulging much into the plot, else I'l land up quoting the entire book.

I am glad I gave this book another shot. Loved it wayyyyy more than I did the first time. And any book with references to Pop culture always has a special place in my bookshelf heart
This one's defintely going to the re-reads shelf.

So 4.82 stars from me (the second half did get a wee bit slow to my) liking

P.S: I miss Pratchett's writing :(
Time to take out those Discworld books out for airing
