“What becomes of someone who thinks he has all the power... and what becomes of someone who believes he has none?”

Ten or so years on and I didn't think that this graphic novel would hold up but it definitely does even though the situation since has gotten 100 times more grievous. This is great journalism and a must read.

I know a lot of people on here have praised the style of journalism in this book whilst simultaneously calling it 'preachy' or 'having too many stories' but they don't realize the irony of how they're mirroring the Israeli characters in the book. I say bring more stories of people robbed and abused. If you cant handle even this many how do the tens of thousands of people actually living there do it? So many people don't want to hear 'that negativity' but lets how you'll beg for someone to hear you if god forbid your land, your family, and lives are threatened.

So many of the zionists have barely a connection to the stolen land they call Israel, no religious feeling, no solid ancestral claim, and yet talk as if it's their birthright. when the topic of justice towards the Palestinians is brought up all they have to say is that they too want peace and to live their lives with their cushy jobs and apartments while turning a blind eye to the people who've been genuinely robbed of their livelihoods, their families, their land, their lives.

So many of their views reflect that of the colonisers they so bravey escaped from. They say the lives of the palestinians are better under occupation, that they fight amonsgst themseves, that they are savages and violent. Well, they are a direct consequence of zionist greed and flimsy justification of their right to the land.
