Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

5.0

It's been a while since a book got me to cry, but this one did it! The world Bradbury so masterfully creates here is goddamn bleak, but it's also so very real, and we're so worryingly close to it. The seashells? The parlor walls? We're damn close. Amidst the sadness and the scariness, though, there's hope, and that's what got to me. Montag, so very lost, eventually finds his way. There's hope. That's what we need as a society, isn't it? Hope and books. Hope and knowledge.
