Riley Thorn and the Dead Guy Next Door by Lucy Score

3.0

Riley Thorn a reluctant psychic, born to a family of psychics, living in a converted old Victorian with a host of retired folks as roommates after her News Reporter husband leaves her and claims alimony, sees a vision of her neighbor being murdered and sets off to find out what happened.
The first in a series, we meet a lot of characters along the way, some with deep stories, some simply plot movers, but every one of them is quirky exposing in true Lucy Score form that no one is "normal."

Overall I enjoyed the story. It provided me something to listen to while jogging but it did not hold my attention enough to want to keep coming back. With about 100 pages left, I took a break for nearly 4 months, never thinking about the book once and only picked it back up to finish and remove from my Currently Reading list.

I do like Lucy Score very much but I don't think this series is for me unless I am in a very light reading mood for long enough to plow through 500 pages or 15 hours of audiobook.
