The Secret History by Donna Tartt
5.0
To my surprise, I loved this book even though I hated each and every character in it! The novel is narrated by Richard Papen, a Californian who is accepted in an elite private college in Vermont. He joins a very interesting group of five Classics students majoring in Greek. From the first page we get to know that one of six is murdered by the rest of the group. This was so interesting to me because it was not a matter of who did it, but about consequences of the act, how it affected them and how they tried to cover it up. This novel is so intense all through. I felt nervous reading it as if it was me who will be discovered and caught.
What I did not like as much was the ending, I wanted more, it did not satisfy me exactly, I thought the characters did not get what they deserved ( maybe that's just me!).
All in all II give it solid 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟/5
