I remember reading Daisy Prescott ages ago; and now I can't even imagine why I haven't already read all of hers books - HAPPY TRAIL is the first in the Park Ranger Series in the universe created by our Overlord; Penny Reid.
With Happy Trails, we follow Olive Perry, having dumped her internet celebrity boyfriend in the middle of his very public hiking experience; and thus has sworn off men. She decides to go ahead with hiking the Appalachian Trails alone, all the while swearing off men; forever. It doesn't help that her family, who seem to be some sort of celebrities themselves; tend to look at her, very colorful romantic life as proof for her flakiness.
Ranger Jay Daniels loves his job - he is an introvert by heart, loves his family and likes his content life that doesn't see a whole lot of swings - he knows exactly how his day is going to go - until his path cross with a lone woman hiker, who is stubborn and doesn't really listen to what his experience tells her to do; before a huge snowstorm hist the trails.

Now, the best part about this hilarious romance, was Olive - she is EXACTLY the kind of person I would love to have as a friend, her inner monologue was not just relate-able, but also some that I have had on my own; it was at times seeing my own thoughts and opinions in print!
Jay and Olive are opposites of each other; in every way possible; so for a ways into the book; while I enjoyed their interactions, I was a bit scared as to how Ms. Prescott will bring them together; their physical attraction to each other aside.
I shouldn't have worried, for Ms. Prescott has written two very amazing characters whose connection you can't help but adore, and a romance that will sing to every particle in your soul!
