Luxe in Quest by Cara Blaine

5.0

Luxe in Quest is the second book in the Luxe's Lullaby Trilogy and I loved it even more than the first in the series.

I loved getting to explore more of the fae realm in book two. All the beautiful world-building and fascinating lore as Luxe, Alistair, Calix, and Soren journey around the realm in search of allies, and a couple of magical items to aid their efforts in the coming war against the tyrannical queen.

The pacing in the story was perfect. Cara does an amazing job at balancing the dark and dangerous parts of the story with the light-hearted and comedic ones. And all the banter. I loved the playful banter between Luxe and the boys.

I also really enjoyed the character development. I loved seeing Luxe's relationships with Alistair, Calix, and Soren grow. There is also a lot of personal growth, especially for Soren, that adds a lot of depth to the characters. I love the found family feel of this group. The tough love and support they have for each other is heart-warming.

This book leaves readers on a bit of a cliffhanger and with loads of unanswered questions and I can't wait to read the last book in the trilogy.

Thank you, Cara, for the ARC copy of Luxe in Quest. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
