This book was amazing. I knew Ryder's situation going in because I read the author's note but it really didn't mess anything up and I very much appreciated Liese's editing the book to make it even better with the help of a sensitivity reader.

I loved Willa so much. Her feisty attitude was perfect for my mood and I loved her competitiveness. Ryder was equally amazing. I loved how stubborn he was but I also loved watching him take risks.

This book's glimpse into what life is like for someone like Ryder was eye opening and I'm really pleased to say I learned a lot. I also really appreciated that by the end of the book the couple had mastered various forms of communication.

This book was so well written as far as plot goes too. It is a fairly long book and I was never bored. There were some parts that made me laugh out loud and others that made me cry. There were also a couple moments when I gasped because I figured out a plot twist that I'm pretty sure I figured out exactly when Liese wanted me to. The intentionality in her writing is amazing.

This book is the full range of emotions and if cancer is a big trigger for you I would strongly advise you skip this one.
