I'm not a fan of second chance usually but I did root for the main leads. I'm also just not much of a spooky mystery reader so this book wasn't fully for me BUT I read it for book club and it wasn't the worst thing ever. I would def have not ever picked this up outside of book club. I think the magic is both the MAIN plot but also SO IRRELEVENT to the characters that it is a bit of a doozy read.
