Spring Clean for the Peach Queen by Sasha Wasley
4.0
Low-key, slow-paced, and cozy. Really enjoyed the reading experience. I do not regret shipping the book here from Australia.
+ Unique story
+ Satisfyingly paced
+ Uplifting, tender messages
+ Lots of fun Australian jargon
+ I adored Caroline, was thoroughly amused by Pris, appreciated Angus's complexity, and enjoyed a lot of the other supporting characters as well
- Occasional awkward bits/dialog that gave me self-published vibes (possibly a reflection of Australian fiction conventions??)
- Some head-scratching moments because Australia's political correctness is a little different from America's
- Would've liked more of a resolution in the end; it just kind of faded out
- Lottie was an interesting protagonist, but I didn't identify with her and questioned a lot of her thinking
